CHILD WELFARE SPECIALIST
Opening available for a highly motivated individual in our Illinois Foster Care programs working with children, youth, and their families. Applicants must be able to manage a workload which involves decision-making skills while using time in an organized and structured manner. Applicants must be flexible with their work schedule and be able to work outside of normal business hours to assist families in meeting their goals or responding to crisis, which may include evening and weekend visits. The CWS will have full case responsibility over their caseload which will include, but is not limited to, completing necessary paperwork, preparing required reports, interacting with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and Juvenile Court System. Requires a BSW or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with two years of related experience, or an MSW or Master’s degree in a related field. The SDS must be available outside of normal business hours to assist families in meeting their goals or responding to crisis, requires some weekend visits.
